The function of Central Compliance is the responsibility of the Group Compliance Officers across the company group. The Group Compliance Officer reports directly to the member of the Management Board of Erwin Hymer Group SE who is responsible for Compliance and the member of the Management Board of THOR Industries responsible for Law and Compliance.
In addition to the Group Compliance Office the organization consists of the Compliance Committee and the local compliance officers.
The Compliance Committee convenes twice a year under the direction of the group compliance officers. It consists of representatives of operational business as well as of individual departments such as Law, Purchasing, Human Resources and Sales. Its task is to advise and support the Compliance Organization with the realization, implementation and further development of the compliance management systems.
The compliance officers at the sites provide support with the integration of compliance into the business procedures and processes and are local contact partners for the executives and associates in the companies.
The compliance management system (CMS) of Erwin Hymer Group follows national and international standards. The foundation for this is our value-oriented compliance culture. The objective of the compliance management system is to protect the company from illegal and inappropriate conduct as well as to avoid fines and damage to reputation. The focus here is on the core topics of white-collar crime, anti-corruption, competition and anti-trust Law.
One of the areas of focus of Erwin Hymer Group’s CMS is a preventive approach. For this purpose, the associates are sensitized on the basis of specific cases. The seminars on integrity and compliance undergo a constant development process.
Within the scope of prevention, an annual risk assessment helps to detect and minimize risks.
The content-related responsibility of further compliance areas such as data protection, safety in the workplace and environmental protection, money laundering prevention, etc. is incumbent on the relevant departments and company group functions.
